Discussions of forms of Municipal Advisory Councils (MAC) for the Alamo region will occur today in Alamo region discussion groups meetings. Discussions will focus on three proposals now in distribution.
AIM participants have defined a MAC and nominated council members to bring a more open public discussion of Alamo's issues under Brown Act rules.
Individual incorporation proponents have defined a MAC that would eliminate local politicians and their agendas for Alamo.
Regional neighborhoods have defined a regional planning commission for Saranap, Rudgear, Tice Valley and Alamo with current county advisory committees as sub-committees of the commission. **Readers should note that this proposal is meant as formation efforts for defined incorporation as a city in the Alamo region**
Certainly, these proposals deserve commentary by your Forum readers including commentary by other communities pursuing incorporation.
