Neighbors in Alamo have submitted applications for various committee openings announced in your paper by District 3. The applications are downloaded from the county site and submitted through the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors electronically with some duplicates sent by mail. None of those submissions have received any responses.
Alamo has been subject to negative actions and commentary by District 3 during the past three years and it now appears that our community residents are to be isolated from committees beyond our region's borders. We are not the spoiled and arbitrary individuals described by District 3, and their small handful of supporters, and we can contribute our exceptional skills and resources.
Historically, Alamo residents have stepped forward throughout our region to be actively part of many efforts that support Contra Costans. The professional, executive and creative capabilities of Alamo residents should provide exceptional resources, connections to donations and other support as participation in county agencies' committees.
What is the problem?
