The Alamo Rotary Club at its luncheon last week presented $1,000 checks for music programs to Monte Vista High School, San Ramon Valley High School, Stone Valley Middle School, Lucille Mauzy School, Rancho Romero and Alamo Elementary. The money was raised during the Rotary's Alamo Food and Wine festival in September. Photo by Natalie O'Neill

Please keep music alive!! I grew up in Alamo, CA and Mr. Koliha and many others in the SF Bay Area kept our lives real in the "magic" of music. He deserves to have seven classes a day with no hassle for a budget...I still treasure our 1988 - 1991 choir days... I still watch them on video (Ha, Ha! How old is that?!) I so remember the old days of Stone Valley and Ann Fox... please KIT - I am still singing in Sweet Adelines and was in a former rock band in CA. I would love to share with you, Bruce.

PS - you can check us out at utube.com -under- "heart of dallas" - women's barbershop chorus - it's before I joined them, but it's my new home here in TX. =) I'll be at Bass, as usual ;)
