Local bank exec sentenced for mortgage fraud scheme

San Ramon resident Joel Blanford was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release for a mortgage fraud scheme. Blanford paid a loan coordinator to falsify documents, provide false verification of borrowers' employment and to turn a blind eye to fraudulent representations contained in loan applications.

Way to go after the little guy! That will teach them! Stealing is better left to the big banks and government!

Along the same vein, did Doug Ditmer get sentenced yet for his participation in foreclosure fraud schemes? These guys had been at it for years..seems like the papers dropped the story after he pled guilty, but sentencing was supposed to be this month I believe.
