From soup kitchens to animal shelters, there are loads of volunteer opportunities for altruistic residents. This week, Roving Reporter Stan Wharton asked volunteers at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Walnut Creek and those at Museum of the San Ramon Valley Why do you volunteer?

We are so blessed with so much living in the San Ramon Valley. Another great resource for volunteer opportunities is: CPC Goodwoorks.org. Community Presbyterian Church is based in Danville and has many mission partners that could use your time and talents in a variety of ways. CPC just hosted a summer food drive in which their goal was to collect 6000 food bags for the less fortunate in Richmond. Where your heart is, your treasure will follow.
