As summer officially begins on Wednesday, PG&E officials are urging customers to prepare for rising temperatures and extreme fire danger this weekend, with nearly 100 degree temperatures in interior valley locations and dry northerly winds in foothill regions.

LOL, it might be interesting to see EBMUD's view on this one:

"Take showers - A cool shower or bath is a great way to stay cool and much more effective than using an electric fan."

You might think that a water company would encourage use, for the revenue, but EBMUD's agenda is usually all about conservation - they know they can increase their revenue any time simply by ratcheting rates skywards.

Buy fire-resistant clothing and keep it handy, because pipeline inspections cost money.
