Roy Bloss has always been fascinated by history. He has spent much of his life researching it, preserving it and writing about it. During his 90 years of living, 52 of them in Alamo, Bloss has made a little history, too.

I would like to thank Kathy Cordova and Dolores Ciardelli for the wonderful article on my father, Roy Bloss. As Ms. Cordova pointed out, my father has both preserved and created history in the San Ramon Valley...certainly an achievement many can admire and only few have achieved. Needless to say, I am very proud of of my Dad and am so please by this recognition.
One note I would like to add to the story is that my dad has a beautiful grand-daughter, Angelique Wilroy Hall, who is married to a wonderful man, Michael Hall, and they have two daughters, Megan (5) and Alexa (3). They live in Valencia, CA, but Angie hopes to someday live in Alamo where she has many fond memories from visiting with her grandparents over the years.

Dear neighbors,
Among our senior residents in Diablo Vista Region neighborhoods, there have been many recollections of Roy Bloss' contribution and his gentlemanly way of bringing concensus within diversity of view and among special interests. There is much recognition among neighbors that shared their stories within their neighborhoods and on our e-exchanges.
Beyond our thanks to Roy for how he contributed to our region, we should hope he will be resource for concensus in our diversity.

Dear Neighbors,
I would have thought that many more messages outside the e-exchanges would have celebrated Roy's creation, among many pioneers, of our opportunity for community. The e-exchanges were celebrations.
But I truly feel that such exceptional service and consideration needed public proclaim. Roy, I hope you and I have a moment to celebrate YOU and the creation of the potential of Alamo.

Dear Ray,
It is likely you would not remember a high school senior that supported various Alamo projects by organizing files and binders for reference. Certainly it was a while ago. I recall the kindness and support you gave and the wealth of knowledge you had of each and every project, program and cause and all the people involved.
