Squeeze bunt saves the day on the diamond

Monte Vista High's Daniel Gallagher scored the winning run on a squeeze bunt by C.J. Robertson in the 10th inning against San Ramon Valley on Friday for a 6-5 win for the Mustangs. Both teams were in the North Coast Section Division I playoffs this week. San Ramon Valley lost Tuesday, 3-2, to Mission San Jose, and Monte Vista faces Berkeley High at MVHS at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Nice article about the Mustangs' baseball victory, but what about last night's lacrosse game at SRVHS? The Wolves smashed the Mustangs 12 to 6 in a semi final game for the North Coast Championship to set up the championship game with De LaSalle next week. Go Wolves!
