Superintendent Steve Enoch didn't go looking for a new job after announcing his retirement from the San Ramon Valley Unified School district; the job went looking for him. That's according to Terry Koehne, the district's community relations director. "He announced his retirement here with the full intention of retiring come June 30," Koehne said.

So, what does a search for a Superintendent cost a school district? Did we get our money's worth out of Enoch? Is the company that SRVUSD hired to do a replacement search going to guarantee any sort of longevity? If this costs $80,000 like it would in the corporate world, we can't afford to do it every 4 years...
