This is well deserved recognition of the role that Ron Brown and the staff and volunteers have had in conserving land in the greater Mount Diablo area, well beyond Walnut Creeks borders. Thank you to the Walnut Creek chamber for this accolade. Save Mount Diablo has been around for 40 years and has been instrumental, directly and indirectly, in much of the land and quality of life preservation we all enjoy and do at times take for granted. Ron has been the most insistent and effective person in our entire community when it comes to doing the right thing on Mt. Diablo. The Athenian School, as a fence line neighbor, benefits enormously from the magic performed by Ron and Save Mount Diablo. Our students hike the trails (most recently last Monday to the peak) and do a share of service in the Park. We are proud of all you do for our Mountain Ron! Grateful thanks from all at Athenian.
