uh, hey Town Council geniuses - why don't figure out a way to take the businesses who are profiting hugely from the shows (restaurants like Crown, etc) and share their profits with those who must close? I can't think that Pup_purr_Ee "loses" more than a couple hundred bucks, while the Crown's take for the night must be near 10 grand at least. It's call "profit sharing".

Dear neighbors,
Would it be too simple to suggest that Hot Summer Nights be staged at several locations including the Alamo business district. Closing Danville Blvd from Stone Valley Road to Jackson would provide a wonderful stage for the cars and our shopping center would profit from the access lanes created and opportunities for outdoor extensions of their retail offerings.
Imagine the surprise for commuters when "road closed" stopped their abuse of our roads if only for one night.
