The man charged in the 1984 killing of Tina Faelz will be tried as an adult, it was decided today. Steven Carlson was charged with a single count of murder in the death of the 14-year-old Foothill High School freshman, who was killed nearly 28 years ago.

Wasn't there a Dublin area middle school student who went missing around 1981? (Irene Michelloff) I remember she was walking home from school too.... Where was this guy?

Per CharleyprojectDOTorg the date of Ilene Beth Misheloff's disappearance was January 30, 1989. And 1989 might fit in even better, with tying these two events together, since sexual predators often seem liable to repeat until caught.
