While U.S. auto manufacturers report increased profits, Black Friday reports show huge increases in shoppers and jobless claims increase, holiday shopping numbers remain up in the air. This week, Roving Reporter Stan Whaton went to the Danville Livery to ask residents How will your holiday purchases compare to last year?

Biased article when you only interview those out "shopping", the very thing you are asking about. Those of us who will NOT be spending on Xmas were not at the stores to be interviewed. Too many of us are under-employed, un-employed or facing layoff or job transfers do to the economy. Instead of spending money on "STUFF" that none of us really need, we will spend time together and give to charity and those truly in need.
