A prediction made earlier this summer by the executive director of Kid's Country -- that the state would not shut down four of its facilities as it had threatened -- has come true. Officially, the day care program's licenses were revoked and the four centers are now operating with probationary licenses.

Unfortunate that this has occurred as it will be harder for those who depend upon the daycare provided.
However, this is what the agency is SUPPOSED to do. Kids Country had been warned about the situation and told to comply with existing regulations. They chose not to do so, the result should not have been a surprise.
