Thanks for the notice! I will be there! I hope everyone with children at Green Valley, Los Cerros, Monte Vista, Vista Grande, and Athenian will be there too. We have much to lose if this project gets built! Schools are already overcrowded in our area.And traffic is already horrendous and dangerous! Did you know a child got hit last year while crossing with his bike at the Diablo Road/Green Valley Road intersection? Thank God he wasn't really injured!

I live in Hidden Valley - we HAVE to STOP Summerhill from developing. The traffic is already impacted - adding a bunch more houses with casitas will make Diablo Road a bigger parking lot than it already is. What give backs are Summerhill giving to the town? Walking trails and open space are not enough - are they going to maintain them in the future? Next - schools being impacted - this is my second biggest concern; they should build a school to educate all those children that will be living in their development.

Will I attend this meeting with the Mayor? The traffic situation along the Diablo Road corridor is already unacceptable, and that is with the benefit of the TRAFFIX program. There is no guarantee TRAFFIX will continue. The SummerHill subdivision would add multiple entrances onto Diablo and Macauley Roads, up to 127 more dwelling units, more traffic, more danger, destruction of lifestyle, obliteration of views, and diminuition of the character of our community. This is OUR community!!! SummerHill should not be permitted to put our lives and lifestyles in danger for their profit! You bet I'll attend!

Do you realize there are already two holding ponds that are keeping floodwaters at bay from the East Branch of Green Valley Creek to which SummerHill's proposed development will drain?! Those ponds have been poorly maintained in the past resulting in water overflowing the banks and damaging property along the creek. Who will maintain the holding pond SummerHill plans to build? The residents of the new development? Sure. Try asking them to clean out your pool if it gets flooded, or spend thousands to remove a tree with eroded roots that falls---you hope not on your house!

Dear Editor,

The overriding question to be answered by Mayor Stepper is "Did Danville have the right of approval for a project that has dire impact on Alamo, Diablo and Blackhawk?" Very early in this project consideration, Contra Costa County should have been studying the traffic impact and determining Danville's too-willing plan to impose diverted traffic into the 1) Blackhawk corridor and south, 2) Alamo corridor as Green Valley/Stone Valley and north, and to gridlock Diablo.

More specifically, Mayor Stepper should be challenged for her level of consideration as an appointed council member and her subsequent appointment as Mayor. Does she have any consideration for Danville residents or the residents of neighboring communities?
