There are nearly unlimited lenses through which to view President Obama's policies and in this week's [Web Link Raucous Caucus], Tom Cushing dissects Obama's true political stance. "There's an argument to be made that every president disappoints his followers on either extreme by playing to the middle, but does that explain this President's policies," Cushing asks.

President Obama has definitely disappointed me and everyone in this great country should be extremely disappointed in Obama's failed presidency! He has in 2 1/2 years almost singlehandedly destroyed the United States! He has not lived up to one of his campaign promises and continues to spend us into oblivion! He constantly blames others for his failings! When he took office the national debt was $3 Trillion and in 2 1/2 years he has increased it to $15 Trillion!!! He and his family are constantly taking expensive trips on the taxpayer's backs while while the American people are losing their jobs and homes! He has no respect for us or our hard earned money! I am almost 70 years of age and I have seen many presidents come and go but he is by far the worst! I did not vote for Obama nor will I in the election of 2012! I fear that if he is re-elected it will be the end of this great nation because he is either a complete idiot or hates this country so much that his goal is to destroy it!

You may not approve of Mr Obama's performance, but your numbers are terribly wrong:
National Debt in 2001: $5.8 trillion
National Debt in 2009: $10.4 trillion
National Debt in 2011: $14.4 trillion
Not good, but nowhere near your $3T-$15T numbers under Mr. Obama. BTW, he paid for his own 50th birthday party, and what are these constant trips to which you refer?
I was also surprised to learn that since the 1970s, Republican Presidents (Reagan, Bushes 1 and 2) have upped both the national debt, and the federal spending than feeds it, at significantly higher rates than their Democrat counterparts (Carter, Clinton Obama).
These are all CBO numbers, via wikipedia, for those of you following at work.

It remains a reality, "What did Barack Obama inherit as President?"
Two costly wars, a global economy that has been alienated by our violence against other nations, a major domestic economic decline created by Bush spending and policies, and a population that distrusted government based on 8 years of disrespect for WE, the people, by the Bush administration.
President Obama was handed a loaded revolver with potentially one chamber empty with slim chance of success in a game of economic roulette. Any trigger he pulled had a 5 out of 6 chance of being very wrong.
Tom's humor and invitation to your sponsored commentators to imagine the completeness of his subject matter is entertaining. It is not journalism or does it provide a forward-looking view of USAmerican reality in a global community and economy.
If you wish to open these vast subjects be prepared to deliver.

Is it possible, without such libel, to move forward in this exchange and consider the individuals and events of the 21st century that have led us to grid lock among those that are sworn to serve WE, the people?
Consider journalism before it is imposed upon you.
