Dear neighbors,
Applause for Natalie O'Neill for a story presented in-depth and clarity. With personal commentary and analysis of the issues, this is why we read The Danville Weekly.

Budget cuts are an unfortunate reality unless people want continually escalating taxes. Businesses don't so jobs will continue to leave California. The place to cut is in administration, not teachers' salaries or especially in classrooms. Education must do as business has done for the past 20 years, reduce middle management & unnecessary oversight of programs. All programs must be reviewed as well - the necessary items will withstand the scrutiny, the less useful may not withstand but all must be scrutinized in these times!
