Communities divided in San Ramon Valley?
Around Town, posted by [removed], a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Jun 16, 2011 at 4:55 pm

Dear Editor,

Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has provided notice of public hearing, June 28, 2011, at 1PM, at Board Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez California. Supervisors will consider redistricting maps and all public input, map proposals, map concepts intended to redraw boundaries to make districts equal in population and holding a commonality of residents’ interests. All such information, maps and other input may be viewed at www.ccredistricting.org. Such considerations will be basis for an ordinance to be approved in July/August 2011 that once again equalizes districts every ten years following the US Census.

All persons are invited to attend and be heard. Reportedly, by document discovery, the supervisors and Contra Costa state elected officials have established a preferred map of boundaries based on a combination of Concept Plans #1 and #4 that will divide the 680 south corridor communities into separate districts.

Consider the plans on the website and come and be HEARD!
