Alamo Improvement Association ("AIA") is residents' independent voice for the Alamo region with all governments and districts serving our region. For more than 56 years, AIA board and committees have worked to serve the interests of residents, their neighborhoods, business districts and community groups.

One again, AIA members have the opportunity to elect a new AIA board to take the AIA forward with new committees and by-laws defined to serve all Alamo region residents. AIA members, including neighborhood and community group representatives, have received their ballots this week and statements by each board candidate to help guide voters’ choices. There is new emphasis on strong committees for planning, transportation, community affairs and public safety to be directed by the new board in greater service to primary interests of Alamo region residents. There are new and returning candidates for the AIA board that will offer exceptional experience and capabilities to such primary committees.

If Alamo region residents from Saranap to Diablo, including south Walnut Creek and north Danville wish to be a more active part of the Alamo region, membership and committee participation are available in the AIA. Membership shall include, upon acceptance of an application and payment of dues, any person residing in, owning real property in, doing business in, or otherwise having an interest in the community of Alamo. Regional neighborhood, business district and community groups use the AIA as their interactive voice and forum for mitigation of issues for our region. Please join that voice and vote.
