Danville Police are holding a 37-year-old man in custody in connection with a Monday afternoon robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank branch office at 156 Diablo Road. Police Chief Steve Simpkins said the robbery occurred at 3:15 p.m. Monday afternoon when the suspect, identified as Vahidreza Einy, entered the bank and threatened to blow up the building unless he was given money.

Great work, officer Ireland and the wonderful k-9 Donna. Glad you have such competent police and the help of a trained canine helper, to keep your streets etc. clear of the criminals.

This guy was a customer??? The bank got his address from their records??? Sounds to me like the guy wanted to get caught. If convicted, he's gonna get free room and board for awhile. Free medical. Free TV. Free legal advice. Free everything (except freedom to walk the streets). In these tough times, being a bank robber doesn't sound like such a bad deal. ONLY KIDDING OF COURSE. But, it makes you wonder what his motive was, doesn't it?
