Mentioning Zinfandel in District 3, Contra Costa County, is a very brave recommendation.

I do agree that Ridge Zinfandel is exceptional. I have a 1996 Ridge Lytton Springs Zinfandel laying in my wine closet that I bought in 2001 for $32 in Great Barrington MA.

For everyday, I would recommend younger Zinfandels such as Rancho Zabaco. Sadly, Beringer does not make its young, table-grade Zinfandel anymore and we all lost the rich smoothness of its presentation.

Zinfandel is the centerpiece to all wine appreciation and deserves to be recognized as California's premier State Wine.

Dear neighbors,

With the advent of government control of neighborhood gatherings, I am pleased to announce that neighborhood meetings have ended and have been replaced with Wine Gatherings and Tastings. Similarly, morning neighborhood group meetings have been exchanged for Coffee Gatherings and Tastings. The same congenial discussions of issues impacting neighbors and neighborhoods take place in private, neighbor-to-neighbor communication, but such gatherings no longer meet the criteria for government control and exposure.

Cheers!
