BREAKING NEWS*** Harmer finally concedes.
State, National, International, posted by Chet, a resident of the San Ramon neighborhood, on Dec 3, 2010 at 8:04 pm

Republican challenger David Harmer reportedly has conceded defeat in his bid to unseat Rep. Jerry McNerney in the 11th Congressional District race.

McNerney's office said Friday afternoon that Harmer called the congressman earlier in the day and congratulated him on winning the Nov. 2 election.

There has been no public comment from the Harmer campaign.

We in District 11 are very proud that Jerry McNerney is going back

to represent us in Washington D.C.

Sometimes the better man does not win.

Dear Dolores,

In our corridor we have two congress members that need to know the will and interests of the people for actions by congress. May we have your readers and commentators provide positions on issues, and new issues for consideration, in discussion of expectations for congressional results? What specific issues for California need congressional action?

Shall we start with sources and uses of funds? What do your readers and commentators see as appropriate actions on taxes and other sources of income? How do they feel about costs to governments such as war, banking bailouts, entitlements and more. Do they expect bi-partisan efforts to resolve economic and operational issues?

Can we start such a conversation between you and your readers?
