Ralph,
What is it exactly that you are interested in discussing about an appointee becoming mayor through the natural rotation system. Like anyone on the council she will serve her one year term. Her appointment to the council due to the tragic loss of Mike Shimansky was a part of how our town's government is organized and I think it works very well and is just one additional piece that makes our town an exceptional place to live.

Thanks Mike! Ralph and Bill, for the record Bob Storer was appointed to fill Mike Shimansky's vacancy. Karen Stepper was previously elected by the people and this year lacking additional candidates Karen and Bob were both elected to a new term by the remaining members of the Council. Karen and Bob have worked hard for years for this community and Karen will once again do a great job as Mayor.

Ah, the good ole boys! Danville wouldn't even have a K9 if it weren't for private donor(s); they borrowed San Ramon's & county K9s until 2006, when Donna arrived. Funny, how Mike Doyle gets 'credit' for this, too. Some of us have been around a while - and know 'the rest of the story.'
