Politics and the CCC-BOS
Sports, posted by Hal, a resident of another community, on Nov 27, 2010 at 8:20 am

Dear Dolores,

I received an informational feature from corridor news service researchers this morning outlining the political discord among supervisors related to nepotism and sources & uses of funds. The research provided information on the actual issues and the resulting political conflict among county supervisors.

The issue of nepotism relates to Ms. Piepho's desire to appoint her husband to an east county cemetery district so he can retain his CC LAFCO seat and benefit Piepho supporters among developers and builders.

The issue of sources & uses of funds relates to Ms. Piepho's use of Keller Canyon mitigation funds to sponsor a Discovery Bay celebration of obtaining its own ZIP code. It is more an issue because Ms. Piepho has publicly claimed Mr. Glover had approved all of the uses and misuses of the Keller Canyon fund.

Tuesday's meeting was illustration of the discord and the BANG editorial summarized the growing disconnect between supervisors. News service information further illustrated that it is very political with the local democratic party staging a standing ovation for Susan Bonilla. What we are seeing now is the start of the 2012 campaigns and potentially two years of gridlock among supervisors.

Let's ask your readers to consider the issues of the next two years in Contra Costa County and express what actions CCC-BOS should take as part of their "non-partisan" positions as supervisors.

Bring accountability back. As strange as this may sound, eliminate the rubber stamp that supervisors use when deciding issues in other supervisors districts. That rubber stamp has put too much power in the hands of easily corrupted individuals.

The Political unrest in District III is the direct result of incompetent and corrupt leadership. 2012 campaigns will unfold with blame on others to misdirect attention from the real problem. The voters will need to abolish corruption via the cast of ballots to maintain an orderly recovery from nepotism. It will be time to change these last years of inequities to positive community unification.

I totally agree with the editorial in the CC Times excoriating Mary and David Piepho for their shameless effort at manipulating the system for their gain in a most unethical manner. These two are out for themselves and themselves only, I will relish the chance to support a campaign against Mary Piepho when the time comes.

Dear Dolores,

Let me make your readers aware that Contra Costa politics is taking special interest in commentary on the actions and execution by CCC-BOS. The result is significant retaliation against known opponents of nepotism and misuse of funds. Since nepotism and misuse of funds are impacted by state-level statutes and laws impacting counties, CCC-BOS supporters are specifically interested in disarming any citizens' opposition.

May I suggest in this instance a pseudonym is very good defense as further comments are made on this subject.
