Is Tesco Fresh & Easy ever going to open in Danville?

Would love to hear the latest. Does anyone know? It's a shame as the Diablo Rd. shopping center could really use something like the Fresh & Easy. I know I'd love to be able to walk to a neiborhood grocery store.

I emailed them and asked when and if the Danville store will open.Stay tuned! Danville appears to be on their roadmap..

Where might it go now that Walgreen's has taken its proposed location?

I had understood that there was still room for the Fresh and Easy next to the Walgreen's, hopefully.

I understand that Tesco has renewed their building permit with the Town of Danville recently which is hopeful. Also, they are building a new Fresh N Easy in the Antioch area. They did not have a distribution center in Northern CA which held up their expansions here, so hopefully that has been resolved.Their website still lists Danville as a "future store". I am anxious for them to open too.

Yes, there is space next to the Walgreens - sitting empty. Sue - hopefully that indicates they still plan to build.
