Where was McNerney for the last 10 years? Outsourcing of American jobs to other countries by American Corps to save money and get the tax advantages should have been dealt with long before now!
McNerney is a typical "Johnny come lately" politician who has had his head in the sand far too long and now that is run is coming to a thankful end he decides to do something except in this case the barn door has been open and the horses are running the countryside!
McNerney do us all a favor and do nothing! Just like you did with Healthcare until the Inept one (Mr President) convinced you to act.
You were never a friend to your district or those you represented...time for you to go....so do us all a favor don't try and start to become something you have not been for the last many years! McNerney....Thanks...but no thanks!

Kudos to McNerney! This is a bill long overdue. Also the type of bill you will not see being originated by Republicans.

Jerry McNerney's horse has escaped, he is not trying to shut the barn door.
This would've helped before NUMMI moved 10's of thousands of jobs out of California.
How about a bill to prevent the US President from sabotaging US jobs?
GM pulls out of NUMMI after Obama comes into office, Jerry McNerney does nothing.
Toyota announces they are pulling out of NUMMI without GM support. Jerry McNerney writes a letter
Toyota shuts the plant down anyway, Jerry McNerney writes another letter.
After all is said and done, Jerry McNerney initiates legislation to prevent this from happening ever again.
Too little, too late. The theme of Jerry McNerney's congressional career.
Jerry - Do you know what a "Tax Haven" is? It is a place that has lower taxes than where you currently are!
If you endorse cap and trade, vote for massive deficit spending, pass health care reform with massive tax increases, and on and on, you are making other countries into tax havens.
Not trying to be a "smartass", but try cutting our taxes and make the US into the tax haven, then you will save US jobs Jerry!

Good points Jim01,
You can also add to this list a couple of items near and dear to "Jerr's" heart.
- Windmills...did you know that approx 80% of the wind energy funds from TARP went to CHINA for them to build these incredibly expensive (and very unproductive) wastes of machinery?
ABC News interview by liberal Dianne Sawyer >>> Web Link
- CFL lightbulbs...the majority, if not ALL, of these bulbs which will be required in 2012 will be made in CHINA. There will be a massive number of jobs lost in America because of this ridiculous legal requirement. Not to mention...they are INFERIOR to Edison's invention!
Sobering videoclip >>> Web Link
Hey Jerry...what do you have to say about these 'wonderful' products you support??? (You flaming socialist)

Lahommed, "Where was McNerney for the last 10 years?" McNerney was elected in 2006.
Jim01, "How about a bill to prevent the US President from sabotaging US jobs? " I think you meant it to refer to Bush... bit late on that.
jim01, "Concerned" American, maja7, et al, once again the chant is: "I hate McNerney and all Democrats, not matter what they do"

The U.S.'s 41.6% is the *2nd* highest corporate tax rate in the world with only Japan's being higher. Compare ours to socialist France's at 34% or China's at 25%. As the former CEO of several U.S. companies I am now planning a new company with most of the hiring in Asia. Why? Because after I get done paying the 41% tax, and then the looming healthcare fees along with legal insurance to protect the company against all the frivolous lawsuits here in California, we won't be able to compete against foreign companies. None of our 401(k) or public retirement funds would ever invest in that kind of company. So rather than assume most Americans are that stupid, Jerry would be better off supporting lowering the tax loads on U.S. companies so we can keep jobs here. Maybe Jerry should take a trip to Detroit to see what high taxes and high labor costs did to employment in the U.S. auto industry.

We have a fantastic Congressman in Jerry McNerney and he is again as always going to bat for us hard working Americans. We all knew we elected the right person to rep us and Jerry has proven over and over again he is the right man for the job. Harmer should never be taken seriously for the job. He could never rep us as Harmer does NOT EVEN LIVE IN OUR DISTRICT!!!!

I was thinking about "Concerned" American's comment "ABC News interview by 'liberal' Dianne Sawyer" while watching her tonight... wrong again, Concerned, Dianne is a Socialist!! Worse... she looks like a Democrat! You can tell by the eyes, the hair style...
vintage10 is a phony. His decision has to do with cheap labor... you know, people without medical care, dental care, unsafe work conditions, no protections against abusive employers AND no political voice. Folks, I give you the new ugly-American: vintage10 - screw my fellow countrymen, it's all about me folks...
You can call me a Socialist (which I ain't) or some other convenient title but the fact is I support the capitalist system. Despite it's flaws, it does work (most of the time).
