Dear Emily,

Ballot Measure 16 on the primary ballot is sponsored by PG&E so they can restrict competitive power agreements by local governments. With a growing class of PG&E customers that have had exceptional increases in their electric and gas consumption created by meter services including smart meters, it is likely a good idea to vote NO on such overt attempts by PG&E to protect exclusives rights to abuse customers.

Upon careful scrutiny one will find that the brass for PG&$ didnt assign the so-called Smart Meters to any independent testing which is a regular, normal process for products to avoid what is happening. Homes are experiencing massive cost increases based on "toys" which PG&$ vowed would work better and provide more accurate reading which PG&$ just admitted that it has not done this. The PG&$ announcement was April 28,2010 of all the massive problems; obviously at consumers expense for not doing the most basic of measure, independent testing before installing!!!!!

Now, why is the same company, PG&$, still allowed to do the testing and fixing of the built-in problem which arrived at each home with the so-called smart meters which even PG&$ has admitted is riddled with problems?

So PG&$ forced the installation of the dumb/cheating meters and now says, PG&$ will investigate and evaluate the dumb/cheating meters.

Really, PG&$ forced the installment into each house, now a behemoth outcry hits the state and the do nothing for the consumer PUC, and all of a sudden PG&$ "will investigate". All of this meaning that the fox upon investigating the henhouse will declare all to be in a safe and equitable condition for all(PG&$) with a PG&$ fix AND STILL NO INDEPENDENT TESTING COMPANY INVOLVED.

Just how stupid does PG&$ think people are????? And how much money can they extract from the consumer before there is REAL improvement.

Would they return the old meters? Not likely!! Will they return the over payment in the millions? Not likely!! Will they have the meters independently tested? Not likely!! Will they open their books to show, by independent auditing, just how much they have garnished from PG&$ consumers? Not likely!!! Will they reverse their smart meters? Not likely since the meters can and will read for the improvement of the bottom line for PG&$!!!

React forcefully to the PUC, the do nothing for the consumer agency paid to protect the consumer; react vociferously with your local legislative person all of whom listen to voters via many well paid assistants at local field offices and just maybe, just maybe said voted person might do something positive for the consumer. Maybe a One Day Outage of many consuming units at home to forward the disgust of PG&$ and legislative persons!!! Or maybe many consumer metered units turned off for several days to forward the message!!

What say you to your wallet when you are being fleeced by PG&$????

Our bills have been so high, I asked PG&E to remove the smart meter and install the old one, but they refused.
