Mt. Diablo YMCA declares bankruptcy
Sports, posted by Amy, a resident of the Danville neighborhood, on Apr 19, 2010 at 9:12 am

From Web Link: "In March, the Mt. Diablo Region YMCA announced the closure of its Oakley and Clayton facilities and canceled a long-planned Alamo building."

Looks like the YMCA is finally admiting the Alamo building isn't going to happen.

Dear Emily,

SRV YMCA commercial facilities construction and operations in Alamo are regional neighborhoods' primary concern. This unwanted facility in Alamo by the majority of residents still has not had its future defined.

Danville does not know the status of the SRV YMCA theater. SRVUSD parents still do not have options to SRV YMCA child care and the better choice of providers of child learning centers on SRVUSD campuses.

So this #1 story still has not been told beyond the MDR YMCA news releases that contain no news at all.

Journalism, not politics, is needed!
