Piepho Campaign support
Around Town, posted by Hal Bailey, a resident of another community, on Nov 18, 2007 at 8:28 am

Dear neighbors,

The 2004 Piepho campaign listed me as a supporter. My only role was fair provision of campaign information from Ms. Greenberg and Ms. Piepho to Alamo Region neighborhoods.

The 2008 Piepho campaign lists Mr. Michael Gibson as a supporter without his permission or participation. Mike has kindly explained his similar experience to mine in 2004 and notified the Piepho campaign to remove his name from the supporter listings.

It is important for individuals serving our community to maintain independence from campaigns so they can fairly provide information on issues from a perspective as an Alamo Region neighbor. We can thank Mike Gibson for his independence and the expertise he can provide as explanation of issues impacting the Alamo Region.

I assure all readers of Danville Weekly and/or this blog that any endorsement reflected on my endorsement list for election or re-election as a County Supervisor has been received in writing. I am honored to have such an outstanding group of elected and community leaders along with many grass roots supporters behind me as I begin my campaign for re-election. Mary Nejedly Piepho

Many thanks to the supervisor for her clarification that mistakes can happen in listings of supporters. We can be quite certain that a majority of supporters listed are confirmed supporters and are listed at their request.

It has been a convenience to neighborhoods throughout District 3 to have a listing of the supervisor's supporters for contact and clarification of the voting majority's opposition to the supervisor's re-election. Most do not oppose the supervisor as an individual, but fully oppose the many actions sponsored during the past 3+ years.

Once again, Alamo neighbors will be making sure all candidates get fair distribution of their campaign positions among community e-chains so our neighbors can make personal, informed choices.

Let the campaign begin!

Hal
