I "thought" I added a comment earlier but I don't see it so here goes another one!!!
I had indentity theft committed against me last year by a black woman who lives in L.A. She and her companion, a black man also from L.A. were arrested at the Seattle airport when TSA became suspicious realizing that both had multiple indentities. They were carrying identities on at least 10 people, "each"....I was told by an FBI agent. The woman was incarcerated for "one year" and the man for two years! I say we should punish these people, who commit identity theft, to the fullest degree because they are destroying people's lives! With their light sentences these criminals will return to the same crime, which has become a very big problem in our country.
My husband also had identity theft committed against him several years ago and I can tell you it makes you feel violated and forces you to spend days, sometimes "weeks" cleaning up the mess that these criminals create for you.

Identity theft is a violation that takes months and sometimes years to straighten out if it happens to you. There is no profile for the kind of criminal who commits this crime.
As a black woman, I too, am suspicious of your comment.

This is a pretty easy site to post on so I'd suggest that anyone offended by Cookie's blatant racism consider that she is demonstrably far from the sharpest arrow in the quiver; you have to take anyone who needs two tries to post something here with a pinch of salt.
But, as long as we are into profiling, I'm seeing an alarming pattern here. Fully 67% of these presumed criminals, (innocent until proven guilty), are women.
Now I'm no misogynist but I will be watching the women around here VERY carefully and, if my wife complains, I'll have a bullet-proof excuse ;-)

I thought Cookies comments were relevant. Identity theft can indeed be committed by anyone, including black people. You don't have to be white to steal another white person's identity.
Yes, black people commit crime as well. So as well do non-racist people.
Therefore I would get all bent out of shape becasue someone describes a person's color in their text. Take it with grain of salt.
