A double standard, MAC?

Dear Dolores,

Why is it Susan Cohen gets more than 3 minutes to speak to the Alamo MAC? How about Catherine Kutsuris doing many more minutes than three?

Of course the answer is "what very important information can be said in just 3 minutes?" It's two thirds of a comedy routine at best or an elevator presentation for various pitch men or women.

But three minutes is not meant for important stuff, right?

Maybe it is time that local humorists prepared 3 minute routines for twice-a-month performances. There are so many subjects to consider, 1) Walton's as Alamo's upscale Wal-Mart, 2) the Byron to Alamo Rapid Transit (BART) roller coaster ride over Mount Diablo, 3) creating Stone Lake to replace downtown and so many other joyous opportunities to celebrate humor in Alamo in just 3 minutes twice a month.

What the HAL, shall we wonder what your readers think?
