Help save The Willows Theatre
Around Town, posted by Willows Theatre Company, a resident of another community, on Oct 2, 2009 at 11:17 am

The Bay Area is about to lose another theatre. The Willows Theatre in Concord & Martinez faces severe financial difficulties and may have to close if it cannot raise $350,000 by November 1. For over 33 years, The Willows has entertained audiences, provided a venue for theatre artists, both Equity and non-Equity, and introduced generations of kids to the thrill of performing live theatre.

All we ask is FIVE MINUTES of your time. Please go to www.willowstheatre.com and click on the video. Willows artistic director Richard Elliott explains the situation along with clips of some award-winning Willows performances. In addition, you can view the recent KGO-abc7 coverage of the story.

Once you see what The Willows has been doing, we think you’ll want to make a donation online by clicking on “Make a Donation.” $10…$100…even $1,000 – anything and everything helps. Responses so far have been heartfelt and generous, but we still have a long way to go.

FIVE MINUTES – that’s all it takes.

Thanks, and hopefully we’ll see you at The Willows Theatre in Concord and the Willows Cabaret in Martinez.
