Who is an informed resident?
State, National, International, posted by Community courtesy, a resident of another community, on Jun 3, 2009 at 7:10 pm

Dear Dolores,

Today, neighbors in the Livorna West neighborhoods were defining an informed resident. Clearly, such specification is based on research resources and willing study. Since June 2000, the original members of our regional effort to create well-informed neighborhood groups that could act in accordance with knowledgeable interests know that the regional result is thousands of informed residents.

What complicates this definition is political restriction on the definition of an informed resident. If one searches beyond allegiance to Contra Costa aggregated politics, then factions of county supporters will claim that such an informed resident is ignorant and misinformed.

At present, as your forum often illustrates, there are many informed residents with diverse views and positions. Many more informed residents read your forum with dismay for the commentary of county surrogates and their campaign to disallow the reality of citizen leadership of our governments.

SO, let's start a new exchange: What is an informed resident?

Hal, as a community courtesy

Any guesses as to who considers himself the MOST informed resident?

Oh, Dolores, let me guess, oh PLEASE let me guess, oh pretty please?

Here is my list for the most informed residents:

Joan Buchanan

Karen McPherson

Diane Barley

Brad Waite

Roger Smith

Who else might be added?? Getting back to the question, "What is an informed resident? and, Who is an informed resident?"

Dear Dolores,

A very humorous response to this forum was received that asked just how much information does a resident in 94507 need to know. The humorist went on to describe the lack of excitement in any of the political goings-on and the difficulty of stay focused on commentary.

As Julia noted the same result, we might both work harder to simply make the commentary humorous. What with grand juries not being painos or piano players, we likely have found our way to such humor.

Hal,

I think in this case they may not be laughing with you, but at you.

As the self labeled "Towne Fool" perhaps that is what you were hoping for?

Then again maybe it is just me.
