Psst..Hey Buddy, gotta petition?
Around Town, posted by Hal Bailey, a resident of the Alamo neighborhood, on Aug 18, 2007 at 8:26 am

Dear Alamo,

It is all such a beautiful secret, don't you know!

As petition volunteers prepare to meet selectively with incorporation supporters and their neighbors, it remains a secret what plans incorporation proponents have for Alamo. Not only is there not a published plan for the town of Alamo's structure and operations, there is no plan to obligate an elected town council to promises made to the community by incorporation proponents.

So as our friendly petition volunteers come knocking at our doors, it might be very wise to exclaim, "Where's the PLAN..show me the PLAN!

Just for the HAL of it!

Hooray for Hal!

I took time to read the petition posted on www.alamoinc.org this weekend and AIM simply is providing an autonomous town council the opportunity to plan the future of Alamo without Alamo residents' and their neighborhoods' consent.

Now really, does anyone expect the majority to buy that PIG simply because its wearing lipstick?

It is one HAl of a laugh, as Hal might say,

Lisa

Dear Editor,

As I read all the articles on incorporation since the subject became public in May, I remain surprised that news media has not demanded that incorporation proponents explain their plans for the structure and operations of the city of Alamo. Enough with all the emotional discussion of our "town" and let's get an explanation of exactly how the city of Alamo will operate, under what structure, with what committees and commissions, and what exact relationship with the residents.

Without a operational plan, incorporation remains a pig in lipstick as Lisa described.

Christine
