Now it's Police Chief Capt. Wenzel

Danville Police Chief Chris Wenzel was promoted to captain recently, an unusual promotion for a deputy with the Sheriff's Office while assigned to the town. "I'm proud that Danville has such an effective and proactive police force," said Mayor Newell Arnerich in announcing the promotion.

I've been a crime victim for over two decades. If the cops here are so wonderful, why do they refuse to catch the criminal who comes onto our property and INTO our house at night? This story makes me want to throw up.

Dear Dolores,

We might explain to "CC" that the Danville Police, with guns drawn, are often engaged in border raids into Alamo. In humor, I would suspect that those officers' excuses for being in Alamo were to search for the culprits that were in CC's home.
