Danville woman gives kidney to book group friend

A Danville woman was recognized on the floor of Congress this week for her selfless donation of a kidney to a member of her book club. U.S. Rep. Jerry McNerney (D., 11th) honored Tanya Lombardi on Tuesday, to coincide with the start of March as National Kidney Month.

We need more people like Tanya in this world. This was a true act of kindness, and had nothing to do with being good at your job or doing the best you can. We all need friends like Tayna. God bless Tanya and Maxine and Thank you!
