School forums look at sticky issue of budget cuts

With the state's funding issues worsening, officials with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District are looking at the possibility of getting the parcel tax back on the ballot as a means of combating what are expected to be severe cutbacks.

I suppose the budgetary debacle in Sacramento will have the fallout in the form of taxing the homeowners with a vengeance. Now that quite a few businesses have been successfully ruined it is the turn of homeowner to be deprived of the roof over his head so that

he may join the homeless throngs the government will entertain with circuses and occasional bread.

None of this will lead to any academic improvements -- it will all be a change for the worse.

I hope the school powers that be take a honest look at student-led/attended confrences. What a waste! How can you be honest when the little dears are there? Maybe the conferences should be limited to the kids who need and/or will benefit from them? (2 weeks a year of baloney).
