Dear Dolores,

Each week I look forward to reading your writing of thoughts, reflections and perspectives. Quite unique from other writers, your approach tells of the human character.

As I read your comments today about "Bob" I recalled my arrival in Alamo and introduction to Safeway. Dick Elliot use to run the wine department and we would discuss wines during my visits. Somehow Dick decided my name was Bob and I enjoyed the change so I never corrected him. As I think back to my arms full of bottles for various gatherings in the Cervato neighborhood, it is likely he had your described purpose in using the name Bob.

Great stories!

Joyous wishes at Christmas and thank you,

Harald Paul Arthur Balle
