Dear Dolores and Steve,

After reviewing Steve's website, positions are so very far from the reality of urban luxury demanded by the majority of voters. More importantly, no issue noted is mainstream to voter consideration.

Steve, your neighbors will give you a significant opportunity to be part of this regional community but you need to join the majority in understanding the issues and goals.

Best wishes,

Hal

Dear Dolores,

Steve illustrates his outreach while presenting his point of view on his campaign website. That is outreach and neighbors have been commenting among the e-exchanges on Steve's willingness to put his position "in the neighborhoods."

That is a great start and a benchmark for other candidates.

In response today, Claire (ad hoc candidates committee) gathered the issues neighbors wish to discuss with all candidates in January. I provided Steve the bullet points and that should make good copy as you feature each candidate in your paper and on-line home page.

Applause to Steve for making outreach a starting point for his campaign.

Hal
