How I spent my summer vacation 2007

What is it about summer that brings out the masochist in me? Last year I loaded my kids in the car and spent most of the summer touring the Midwest. This year? A week on a hard bicycle seat as I pedaled my way down the coast from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
