Danville Mayor Candace Andersen will be hosting her last monthly Morning with the Mayor on Friday, Nov. 7. This is an informal opportunity for residents to share their thoughts about town issues, ask questions, and receive a brief update about what is happening in Danville. Andersen's turn as mayor ends Dec. 2.

Well, no matter, how Prop 8 turns out, at least her mayoral tenure will be over. Let's hope our next mayor is smarter than this moron.

Tiredofher, funny, I'm tired of your "type" of person who would castigate someone for standing up for what she believes, especially on an issue like traditional marriage which is widely supported in California for obvious reasons and will hopefully win tomorrow. If not, it will be very close.

Thus, at worst, Mayor Andersen's position represents around half of the community and probably more. It's just that the vocal loons on this issue are largely the No camp. Don't assume that just because all those you hear screaming are on your side that everyone feels the same way. In fact, many are just sick of hearing the screaming, but their vote counts just as much as yours.

I reject the idea that when someone seeks elective office that means they can't continue to express their opinion about issues. If she had been on the NO side, I seriously doubt you would be complaining.

The only real issue is that you disagree with her on 8 and you are welcome to do that. But don't try to make something more out of it and don't denigrate someone who has spent hundreds of hours working for our community on many, many positive issues.

I'm voting for Candace!!! And I'm voting YES on 8.
