Dolores,
One can imagine how the funds used in selective and prejudiced preference to build Monte Vista High School a parking lot would have allowed SRVUSD to establish a realistic school bus and car pool program. It seems that SRVUSD is quite good at education and very poor at the transportation issues that deliver students appropriately to their schools.
At a time of exceptional fuel costs and acknowledged global warming, this decision by SRVUSD seems to be the work of accountants and not valid consideration by the board.
