Dear Dolores,

Thank you for correcting the time for the meeting. Best wishes to Claudia Waldron and her committee in fulfilling all the informational needs of our neighbors preparing for active discussions on Thursday.

Diablo Vista neighbors appreciate your response,

Hal/CDSI

Dear neighbors,

There are many differences of opinion related to incorporation and many more views of our future as a regional community of neighborhoods. We are all on a similar path with somewhat different values that are neither fulfilled nor denied by the results of LAFCO’s commission meeting on Thursday, September 18. At the end of that meeting, whether approval or disapproval occurs, we are all going to have to mutually decide the future of our community of neighborhoods and take a rational, collective voice in creating that broadly defined future.

As neighbors bring their differing positions to Thursday’s meeting, I would suggest that each group, in their position, determine how they would match their future to the positions of all other neighbors. If we take that step and voice a collective future, we may be able to refer to ourselves as a community and actually make Alamo a reality.

Please take a moment to listen to each position presented and try to match each position to your own view of a community. We are at a critical point where we must come together or be divided into the spheres of influence of other communities.

Lisa Wright, esq.

Dear Neighbors, (from Diablo Vista region e-exchanges)

The first "Story" has been published: Web Link

E-exchanges among hundreds of neighbors this "morning-after" within Diablo Vista region neighborhoods noted that journalism must explain the message delivered by neighbors in their many comments to the commissioners. No more stories with "he said, she said" quotations are needed. Journalism must report DEFINITION will be needed by AIM and council candidates if voters are to consider a majority YES vote for incorporation. The commissioners saw that reality and commented in length leading to their final decision.

The majority of neighbors as opposition or seeking definition of the incorporation proposal for the Town of Alamo are prepared to vote NO in March. In this cold light of dawn, incorporation proponents have a greater barrier to success because their unilateral position against government definition must be erased if their proposed incorporation is to succeed among savvy, rational voters in the March 2009 election.

For media, journalism and not stories provides that definition and its challenges. Our region's readership will accept no other offering.
