Man arrested for hot dog

A Danville man was cited for animal cruelty after leaving his dog for 20 minutes in a parked car with the windows up, in near 100-degree heat on Tuesday last week.

I'm glad someone called an reported this! I own a maltese myself and would never be as careless as to leave the dog locked in a car, especially during a heat wave.

I'm glad the police were called, too. What was this pet owner thinking? It's publicized and publicized - how could anyone not know about car temperatures being so high?
