There AM a meeting here tonight!
Sports, posted by Forest Warn, a resident of another community, on May 15, 2008 at 2:27 pm

Brothers and Sisters,

Gather your tamborines and hymnals! There am a meeting here tonight at 7PM at the Creekside Church, www.alamoca.org

Everything you ever wished to celebrate about Danville Blvd will be preached in many voices and options. On behalf of All things Alamo & Pop(u)lar, I want to make sure no option is missed in our DAZE of discussions:

#1 - Remove Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road in Alamo's business district as part of a well-planned mall with access lanes.

#2 - Move Danville Blvd east to be part of the MVHS roadway improvements and as a scenic drive through Round Hill.

#3 - Declare Danville Blvd to be a county park as The Avenue of Trees and charge all non-residents an admission fee.

#4 - Create the fourth bore of the Caldecott Tunnel under Danville Blvd for the length of Alamo.

#5 - Build a true Roundabout of sufficient size to handle traffic safely starting in San Ramon, proceeding through Blackhawk, along the ridgeline to Walnut Creek and back through Lafayette, Moraga along Bollinger Canyon to San Ramon.

NOW, doesn't removing Danville Blvd and Stone Valley Road seem like the only logical plan?

Kindly with regards, smiling,

Fore Warn

Dear Iron Horse neighbors,

This is the Roundabout website you requested. Be sure to understand the difference between a traffic circle and a roundabout. Roundabouts typically have a larger inside diameter than the current roadway and would not fit easily between Safeway and Longs. Traffic circles, previously referenced in other forums are reportedly dangerous due to lack of staging for cars entering and exiting the circle.

It is sad to report, Brothers and Sisters, that our congregation was only a few but the WORD was shared by all.

The AIA provided reception to Contra Costa County Public Works Transportation Representative and interactively discussed the three separate listings of projects for our roads and lanes with specific attention to all of Danville Boulevard and Stone Valley Road.

Mr. Brad Waite, President, Alamo Improvement Association, hopes to have a broader response to commitments by CCC-PW Transportation from our entire region and its neighborhoods. Thus, log-on to www.alamoca.org and access the President's e-mail and provide your intentions for our region's roads and lanes. CCC-PW suggested that the same message be sent through District 3 Supervisor to CCC-PW's attention (which means it will never be delivered).

The oxymoron in this exercise is the idea that the will of regional politics will somehow change from the constant expansion of corridors in our Diablo Vista (Alamo) region for commute traffic. Any suggestion that does not meet that continuing goal will be ignored (with or without incorporation).

May I hear AMEN?
