Contra Costa County needs volunteers to help count the homeless on Wednesday, Jan. 30, beginning at 6 a.m. This activity helps the county assess needs and secure state and federal funds. A web-based form makes it easy for volunteers to sign up. Go to Web Link or call 313-6124. Volunteers must be 18 years old to volunteer and available one week prior to attend a one-hour orientation.

So--------volunteer to count homeless so our tax dollars go to this group? Perhaps we could round up possible illegals instead. Start at the Home Depots--
Has anyone seen the ABAG salaries? We even are stuck paying for THEIR "employee" share of retirement!! Maybe those worthless fat cats should be counting the "homeless" aka--street bums.

Julia -- why not put a counter on that lethal cane of yours, and whack'em? That'd really get all that warm, sweet milk of human kindness coursing through your veins.

Dirka says, I have too many goats that need milking to count homleless; besides, these are peoples that hide. Dirka says, love thy neighbor, even if he's poor and a mentally torchured soul, butydo not let them pee pee and poop in bad spots. Let's pay their cab fare to San Francisco. It's a good investment.
