Dear neighbors,
The rich contribution of Informed Resident ("Info Res"), Alamo Ron, Krak Potts, Forest Warn and all those that challenge us to think with reality and oxymorons on reality should be invited to challenge our corridor of neighbors to consider their positions.
Thus, allow me to start this forum not on issues but the concept of discussions that surround our corridor's issues. Info Res, Alamo Ron, Krak Potts, Fore Warn and more make us think about our approach to commentary and how we research information.
That's the subject and we want "Commentary for Dummies" to be the issue. Thoughtful comment and a smile or three would be great consideration for us all.

Ah, I didn't realize we were so close that we were interchangeable!
In the humor of current and former neighbors in our Diablo Vista region we have enjoyed the fun of screen names that illustrate the humorists among us. We have all been humorists. Since we were all called crack pots, I became Krak Potts just to fulfill a vision of our majority.
It is quite true that we are all a composite of all we hold close and therefore I am not sure we are not all of ourselves together. But it does sound like a song John Lennon didn't write.

Thoughts would be good. I'd like to see some - they're notably lacking.
Case in point:
Oxymo Ron asks for "discussions that surround our corridor's issues"...and would "make us think about our approach to commentary and how we research information."
Nice turn of phrase but regrettably devoid of content.
This sounds strangely like having pre-planning meeting to plan the pre-meeting's meeting.
Rather than thinking about our approach to commentary, why don't we just talk and dispense with null contructs?

Dear Et Al(amo),
Your cleverness is obvious and so is the reality that much is discussed in our region without realistic content and resolve. It is my belief that two purposes cause that result as one being governments that do not wish to discuss any of their decisions with the residents impacted and two being residents that spend too much time in political subservience to governments that simply are not serving such residents.
As I reviewed all humor in your commentary I realized that you were not intending to be the least bit funny. I truly wonder if readers of this exchange understand that your points are that subjects are defined in such public discussions by governments so no plan or decision resulting impacts the willful, independent actions of governments?

Let's all just be mindful that their is a difference between opinions and facts.
If the opinions substantiated with facts then they may be more believable. That might be a good place to start if you want readers to buy into your point of view.

Dear Et Al(amo),
The purpose of this forum is the humor related to political points of view and presentation of such views. Truth, especially in politics, is commonly-held opinion mutually rationalized as fact. After months of Presidential campaigning and local-politics-as-usual, we can realize that such Truth comes in three forms, 1) Pre-truth, as what someone wants us to believe, 2) truth, as what someone gets us to believe, and 3) post-truth is when someone wants us to believe a new truth.
The question being discussed in this forum is how ahould we respect each other in such presentation of points of view?
