A Christmas Eve dispute over manners apparently led to the beating of a mother and daughter by two other women at the Stoneridge mall. The incident began when one of the victims, the daughter, heard one of the suspects cough, and told her to cover her mouth when she did so, according to a police report. That led to a brief, heated dispute.

Sounds like the suspects were not reflecting a Christmas spirit but a spirit of its ok to beat others when you don't agree with them. This is the same spirit that is seen on tv and reality shows, so for the intellectually challenged who star in them and watch them, it is acceptable behavior. (just check out the stupid dialog and interaction on these moronic reality shows). Telling someone to cover their mouth when they cough should not be offensive to a civilized person but it is obvious that we are not dealing with civlized people in many instances. A sad commentary on the greater society and current population. It's not getter better when we treat each other with violence. But it is what it is.

It's time to sit back and reflect. If all involved parties had been armed with automatic weapons, as specified by our Founding Fathers who gave us the 2nd amendment right to bear automatic weapons in shopping malls, none of this would have happened. Guaranteed!

Thanks BART for bringing these caliber of folks to our local mall. Hope Simon Management is taking note of these events. I intend to do much more of my shopping on-line to avoid the dangers of Stoneridge and Braodway Plaza.

Hey NRA, you almost got it right. But there is no need for a rifle. All you need to restore some civility is "shall issue" concealed carry laws in CA. Thugs like that would think twice about beating up someone if they thought they might be armed.
