Status of Pac-12 Cable Network Negotiations?
Around Town, posted by JRM, a member of the Vista Grande Elementary School community, on Nov 24, 2012 at 9:15 am

This morning I was hoping to see the Oregon-Oregon State football game and it appears my cable carrier (ATT) has not yet come to terms with the Pac-12 network. Can anyone suggest a sports bar close by that might have the game? I'd rather not go to the noisy Stadium Pub in Walnut Creek.

Both ATT and Direct won't divulge why they cannot negotiate successfully with the PAC-12-costing them customers what with so many Bay Area fans who enjoy college sports involving West Coast teams.I'm about to dump Direct TV.

Well, here we are about the end of the year and the PAC-12 Network is still not on DirecTV.

Those that are sports fans know full well that DirecTV is the principal TV system that caters to those following sports. Dish Network, Time Warner, Comcast, AT&T UVerse, etc. don't have the Sports Channels & access to sports package that DirecTV has.

Maybe if DANVILLE RESIDENT & PAC-12 CEO / COMMISSION LARRY SCOTT would negotiate with DirecTV we could then watch some PAC-12 games.

He probably won't read this and he certainly does answer his mail. He sure shows up at half times at all the games around the country, though!

Maybe the Danville Express can arrange to interview Mr Scott AND a representative from DirecTV .... Scott alone won't do it .... he would give the same old line ".... well, we worked it out with everybody else..." If the PAC-12 doesn't have DirecTV, they don't have the hard core sports fans. Good Luck
