A woman leaving work in Walnut Creek Wednesday night was kidnapped by two men who forced her to withdraw money from various ATMs before abandoning her in the Oakland Hills, Walnut Creek police said. She was walking to her car in the business center's empty parking lot when two suspects ran up to her and forced her into her car.

Yesterday on TV news the report was the woman was kidnapped from a Bonanza St. parking garage. Either way, pretty creepy for WC.

Pretty damn creepy for any place. We must pay attention to our surroundings. Just because you are in Walnut Creek does not means you are in heaven. In fact if they tried that in Oakland they may not have gotten away with it. In some areas, people are more aware and know how to handle the situation.

Thanks, Julia Pardini from Alamo...and yes it can even happen in Alamo

Interesting there is absolutely NO physical description of the perps. Such investigative reporting!!

I had a Dr's appointment at the Park Shadelands Business Park in Walnut Creek the day following the kidnapping. The kidnapping took place in the back parking lot, outside of the PG&E office building.

Kaiser Permanente has several buildings adjoining the parking lot as well.

It was shocking to hear of a kidnapping in Walnut Creek. The police have issued some photos of potential suspects.

No one should be shocked about kidnapping. Criminals aren't going to low income areas to commit these crimes - they wouldn't get any money from the victims ATM's. So if you live in nicer areas, you'd better be aware of your surroundings. Crime is coming to your neighborhood soon too. Thanks for making having money and success a bad thing too. This is spreading the wealth around in the true sense. I'm sure the President would agree.
